Jo Paris, Principal & Musical Director (AISTD, AABD)
Principal Jo Paris was awarded a full-time scholarship to train at the prestigious Stella Mann College of Performing Arts, where she graduated with a Three-Year Dance Diploma and an ISTD Associate Teaching Qualification with Distinction. Following her training, Jo went on to perform professionally on stage and television before establishing Paris Performing Arts in 2005. Since then, the school has grown into a highly respected training environment for young performers. Alongside the school, Jo also founded Paris Talent Agency, now recognised as one of the UK’s leading non-sole representation agencies. Through the agency, her artists have appeared in the West End, feature films, television commercials and a wide range of professional productions. Jo balances her time between teaching, directing and producing performances, running both Paris Performing Arts and Paris Talent Agency, and raising her two daughters, something she says she loves every minute of. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Jo has successfully trained students aged 4–18 years, consistently achieving excellent examination results with both the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) and the Associated Board of Dance (ABD). Many of her students have progressed to top performing arts colleges and professional careers within the industry. As Principal, Jo plays an active role in the school, directing productions, running workshops and teaching Ballet and Musical Theatre. She is incredibly passionate about the ethos of Paris Performing Arts and prides herself on creating a supportive, friendly and professional environment for all students and teachers.
